Lavoir

Dated 1893, this washhouse is located in the basement of a house on Grande Rue. It opens onto the street through a large rectangular bay, formerly closed by a door, as indicated by the presence of hinges in the rebated doorframe.

Description

In 1891, the municipality purchased a shed for a new public washhouse.
The premises, located in the middle of Grande rue, formed the basement floor of a house.
Construction was completed on September 22, 1893. The accompanying fountain is identical to those of the other two remaining washhouses in Salles.
