Le Jardin de la Basse Fontaine

There are 1,700 species of plants to see: fruit trees, olive trees, a vegetable garden, various Mediterranean species and a collection of 400 species of succulents. The garden will delight children, with a dedicated area featuring huts, swings and a sandbox. They can also get up close to the farmyard animals, birds in sailboats, fish and turtles. The owner will be happy to welcome you and answer any questions you may have.

"It's an extraordinary garden," you might say as you stroll through Jean-Paul Boyer's garden. Formerly head of a gardening company, now retired, he devotes himself full-time to his own garden. Drawing on his professionalism, he divides the garden into ten areas, creating different atmospheres according to the species chosen. Visitors are led from one plant world to another: the Japanese garden, the olive grove, the garrigue, the vegetable garden and many others, not forgetting the children's corner with its hut perched in a pine tree. Further away, chickens cackle and, quieter still, Hermann's tortoises live out their lives peacefully.
