Description
The Centre Dramatique Des Villages (CDDV) offers an itinerant season from November to May in the communes of the Haut Vaucluse. This programming includes an average of 17 diverse performances, as well as writing and creation residencies, highlighting regional, departmental, and national companies.
Each summer, the CDDV also organizes the Les Nuits de l’Enclave des Papes festival, a must-attend event in the region, preceded by La tournée des villages, a true prelude to the festival.
Without a fixed venue, the CDDV chooses to go beyond the traditional confines of performance halls to engage directly with audiences. It invests in the heart of the communes, in a wide variety of spaces: municipal halls, outdoor venues, and unique locations.
The CDDV’s mission is to offer an enriching and accessible artistic experience for all, while contributing to the cultural vibrancy of the region. Its activities are structured around four main pillars:
Programming: performances covering all live arts.
Residency hosting: supporting artists in their creative processes.
Artistic and Cultural Education (EAC): actions aimed at awakening, transmitting, and raising awareness among all audiences.
Creation: encouraging the emergence of new artistic projects.
These initiatives are led by a permanent team of eight people, supported occasionally by a technical team. The involvement of the Board of Directors and volunteers ensures a professional and friendly cultural experience.
The CDDV is an association constantly seeking new members to enrich and develop its project. Joining this collective adventure offers the opportunity to be part of a passionate community. For more information, contact us!
Focus on La Tournée des Villages:
The CDDV highlights an artistic company during La Tournée des Villages. For one week, the company presents its outdoor performance in several partner villages.
Summer Highlight – Les Nuits de l’Enclave des Papes:
Every summer, the CDDV organizes the Les Nuits de l’Enclave des Papes festival, created in 1965 by René Jauneau. This iconic event celebrates all live performing arts in the communes of Valréas, Visan, Richerenches, and Grillon. Over 10 days, the public enjoys a varied outdoor program, including theater, circus, dance, music, readings, workshops, and much more!
The CDDV thus invites everyone to experience unique artistic moments and contribute to the cultural flourishing of the region.
