Saint Pantaléon Les Vignes

The village was once a little monastery (Cluny order), ruined during the 14th century. Nowadays, hiking paths lead you to the vineyards and safre hills.

Description

The village's name appears for the first time in 989 in a Cluny charter.

In the 12th century, a prior, wishing to give himself a protector, placed the commune under the suzerainty of the Counts of Toulouse, sovereigns of the Marquisate of Provence, which later became the Comtat Venaissin until 1790. During this period, the Commune changed its name several times.

A stone's throw away is the Domaine d'Urdy, built at the end of the 19th century: a bourgeois house and romantic park, owned by the commune for some twenty years.
